Few of my friends are going on journey to recreating one of Acne's skirts, finding the material and with the creativity of my friend Emma they will be making this skirt with only a pattern to go from. I will keep you posted on how they are going!

Fashion Interview- Bronte Strong

About Bronte

Bronte and I have been friends since we were in primary school, so coming onto 7ish years. I have always admired Bronte's sense of fashion and design flair and it is shown in her room, it is immaculate, furnished with an old-school bed frame, designer books, shoes and her beautifully colour coordinated wardrobe. But it wouldn't be complete without her amazing chandelier; hanging in the middle of her room, over her bed. I have always been jealous of her cleanliness, but also Bronte's overwhelming sense of clarity when it comes to her love of labels.

Who would be your favourite celebrity, whose fashion style inspires you?
Probably Lauren Conrad (The Hills), because everything she wears is simple but elegant, its either her or Blair Wardorf (Gossip Girl) who would be my main inspiration.

Do you have a favourite fashion magazine that you are in LOVE with?
YES!! I think it would have to be between Vogue Australia and Frankie Magazine, because they have the styles that I like, which includes Chanel, Gucci all those types of designer labels.

What draws you to those types of labels?
Well, I like Chanel because it is classy and elegant, and you can pretty much wear any of their pieces with anything in your wardrobe, and I guess that is the same for Marc Jacobs and Gucci.

What do you wear on a lazy day?
Well, today's a lazy day, so pretty much what I am wearing now, a long coloured knitted jumper, skinny leg jeans and brown boots, with probably my hair up and simple makeup.

Do you have favourite essential items, that you think every girl needs in their wardrobe?
Yes, always a black blazer, black dress and a black skirt (but more than black?), but you are about more than black, so that would also include a floral dress and I think everyone should have at least one coloured skirt, I have my favourite red one! Also, can't go without a good pair of jeans to last a lifetime!

What essential beauty products do you LOVE?
I have my MAC foundation, which I use because I was recommended for my skin type. I always use bronzer because without it my foundation would wash me out. And I always have my trusty mascara, love mascara, but perfume is my favourite, I have heaps! But my favourite perfume would have to be Chanel Mademoiselle.

Last but not least, Any jewellery favourites?
Yes, I have my Tiffany and Co necklace that I wear everyday, it's important to me because it was my first piece of Tiffany's and I got it when I turned a teenager. Also my Tiffany and Co bracelet and also my Chanel necklace (AMAZING!) which is special because my best friends bought it for me.
Bronte with her amazing formal dress!

Thanks so much Bronte for your time!

the queen victoria market

Today I decided to follow my mum along to the Queen Victoria Market, I have always loved going there.. The food, the diversity and the culture is astounding. It is inspiring (corny, I know!) but it is full on artists, designers hoping to show off their new collection or a new bracelet they have created to make some mula.

There were a few stalls that especially caught my eye, vibrant, colourful and not bland in the slightest. One stall was filled with gorgeous fairy dresses, at the time a young women and boyfriend looking character were purchasing a tutu for what seemed like their toddler. I got a few pics to share.
"Fairy Dance" Fairy/Dancewear Clothing and Accessories
                                                     www.fairydance.com.au

The next stall I saw had a collection of 'funky' clothing including hats, beanies, jumpers, knit-wear and a huge bunch of 'hippy' style bags. Which I am sure anyone could own.

"Anaya Skye"
Specialising in Handcrafts, Clothing, Jewellery, Accessories, Soft Furnishing
and Artefacts of Nepal, Tibet, South America and India.

Before I left, after being out on such a sunny day I passed a jewellery stand, where I thought the girl behind the stall was asleep, she awoke and I saw the most amazing emerald jewels, I have always had a fascination with emerald as it is my birth stone (May!) and I think emerald has always been on trend with all ages.

"Chengfeng Jewellery"
All kinds of Jewellery Including Jade, Crystal and Original Stones.

LOVE THESE BRACELETS!!!!

Overall it was a successful outing, my mum got all the groceries we could ever have wanted, I didn't purchase anything but on a beautiful day it was good to be outside.
